Finding Therapy That Truly Fits Your Family

You’re looking for more than just a therapist. You’re looking for someone who understands what it means to navigate life between cultures — where family expectations run deep, emotions don’t always have the right words in English, and asking for help can feel complicated.

Whether you’re a parent worried about your child, an adult carrying things you’ve never been able to say out loud, or a family trying to find your way back to each other — you deserve support that meets you where you are.

I offer therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with telehealth available throughout California and in-person sessions in Livermore.

Hello, I’m Mon.

I bring something rare to therapy: I understand your world from the inside. With dual master’s degrees in School Guidance and Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, years working in schools and specialty mental health clinics, and my own lived experience as a trauma survivor and multi-lingual immigrant, I offer care that is both clinically grounded and deeply human.

I work with children, adults, couples, and families — and I understand the particular weight that Chinese-speaking families often carry quietly, for far too long.

A Safe, Supportive Place for Your Child to Heal

I specialize in supporting children ages 3 to 10 and their families through creative, developmentally appropriate therapies like:

  • Play Therapy – where children process emotions through play, the language of childhood.
  • Sand Tray Therapy – helping kids express complex feelings symbolically and safely.
  • Expressive Arts – using art, movement, and storytelling as healing tools.

These approaches gently guide children to understand their inner world, strengthen their emotional regulation, and build resilience. I also offer trauma-informed approaches like Brainspotting and EMDR for children and adults who have experienced deep emotional wounds.

A Therapist Who Understands Trauma—Because I’ve Been There

I don’t just understand trauma academically—I’ve lived through it. As a trauma survivor myself, I know how healing begins with feeling seen, safe, and understood.

That personal journey informs my deeply empathetic and grounded therapeutic style. I believe every person—child or adult—deserves a space to reconnect with their true self, explore what’s hurting, and rediscover hope.

Helping Parents Feel Empowered Again

You’re doing your best—and parenting is hard, especially when your child is hurting.

I work closely with caregivers to help you understand what your child is trying to communicate and give you tools that create more connection and calm at home. Therapy doesn’t just support your child—it supports your whole family.

Who I Work With

I support:

  • Children (3–10) navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, big emotions, or trauma
